Winter Vacation Play Date ~ Fort Myers Photographer

My friend Erin invited Bryce and me to come to a play date in Centennial Park.  The weather was PICTURE perfect.  It's hard to believe Christmas is only days away when we are able to enjoy temperatures in the eighties here in sunny S.W. Florida.

Bryce and I were very excited about the get together.  Bryce and Rowan have been good buddies since they were six months old.  We love having play dates in the different parks here in Fort Myers.

For the majority of the time, Bryce was either off playing by himself, playing in the mulch, or surrounded by lots of girls.  I of course had fun snapping pictures.  I love these candid pictures of the mommas with their little ones.

I especially love these pictures of the kiddos.

First Christmas ~ Fort Myers Baby Photographer

To begin my photography journey, I gave my niece my favorite thing on earth for Christmas, PICTURES.  I photographed her ten month old baby, Scarlett, for her first Christmas.  We went to the Buckingham Community Center that is right around the corner from my house.  I love the location because of the old school house and the giant oak trees.  Scarlett was a doll.  She was smiling the entire session, fell in love with a bear that was just suppose to be a prop, and sat perfectly in a gift box.
A baby is a miracle sent from above,
a tiny package all wrapped up in love,
with ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes,
and sweet little cheeks and a cute button nose.

A teddy bear is a faithful friend
You can pick him up at either end

His fur is the color of breakfast toast
And he's always there when you need him most
Everything in life I'll share
Except of course my teddy bear.

What a precious bundle of joy

You are cute from head to toe
You melt our hearts with your sweetness
Everywhere you go

You're a special gift this Christmas

Sent from heaven above
A perfect little angel
For all of us to love

This is just the beginning

The ruffle fabric backdrops have arrived, and so have the flower headbands.  I'm so ready to photograph a baby!

I have always had a passion for photography.  I notice myself looking at everything as though I'm looking through my camera lens.  I can't tell you how many times I have said, "Hey, that would make a really good picture." As a kid I remember snapping pictures of bubbles, sunsets, my siblings, and my pets.  In high school I took a few classes at Fort Myers High School and really enjoyed learning the settings on cameras, processing my own film, and having an excuse to pull over on the side of the road to snap pictures of the livestock out in the fields of Buckingham.  As the years trickled by, I found myself taking pictures of EVERYTHING!  When ever my husband and I went on vacation, I'd have to buy a box of batteries for the camera to pack for the trip because I'd end up taking hundreds of pictures.  Then I had Bryce in June 2010, and my Nikon got a full on workout.  For the longest time, I took multiple pictures of Bryce daily.  Every new development has picture documentation.

As he has gotten older, my photography has improved.  I upgraded my camera to a Nikon D7000, joined a photography hobbyist group, and have spent hours researching portrait photography.  I'd really like to take the next step and become a professional photographer.  For now I'm building my portfolio, perfecting my technique, and of course taking even more pictures of my Bryce Baby.
